We're proud to announce the release of Adam Marshall's second EP on Cynosure entitled "North at Night". The Bomb drops March.23rd and the feedback has been amazing on these tracks so far...take a look....
Before a flickering background of dubby chords—a lone pair, gauzy and wind-blown—Marshall unrolls an absolute tearjerker of a melody. There's nothing fancy about the tune, which reminds me a little of John Tejada at his most melancholic ("The End of It All"): the drum-machine pattern, with the merest smidgen of 2-step swing to it, patters numbly away, and the voicing remains blissfully uncluttered, with a lone, analog-sounding tone sufficing for the lead, bass and internal harmonies alike. The first six minutes are among the saddest six minutes of music you've ever heard, and then, gradually, samba-inspired drums take over, ushering you by the arm to a place beyond reflection, a zone of pure movement. So ten years have passed since the release cynosure 001 the focal point compilation. This year we're planning a few random events and happenings to celebrate a decade of our fledgling existence. Starting things off for the year of festivities on Feb.1st Mike Shannon is set to play live at Berlin's infamous Panorama bar along side Cynosure artist Ernesto Ferreyra and Risquee's Vincent Lemeiux. June 30th Cynosure and the Real Grooves crew launch the Cynosure Compilation mixed by Mike Shannon. The party is happening at Yellow Space lab in Tokyo, one of the cities finest venues. Cynosure starts off 2007 by announcing the release of Mike Shannon's three part EP series entitled TACTILE. The series begins with Tactile Blue for release in January of 2007. Followed by Tactile Red for release in February and last part of the series scheduled for March is Tactile Green. Each Colour represents a specific tonal palette of Mike's techno house productions. An earth, wind and fire approach to presenting some of Mike Shannon's finest works to date.

The long awaited return of Deadbeat on Cynosure has finally come. This time Deadbeat appears alongside guest remixer, producer, programmer techno legend Monolake. Random Brown is rarity of an EP due to Monolake's sparse appearances as a remixer. Both artists also take a much different approach to these remixes than what would be considered their signature styles.
